What the Body Knew

A few months before my diagnosis, I made a number of what seemed like unrelated quilts.  Usually, I start with an idea or thought I want to express, but these quilts just came of their own accord. I couldn’t title them because I didn’t know what they were saying. After my diagnosis, I realized these quilts spoke about cells working well with each other, and what happens when cell division goes awry. My body knew about the cancer before my mind understood.
