I love to travel, and the places I visit inspire some of my quilts.

Iceland

Iceland is a country of volcanoes and ice floes, greens, browns and blues.  The colors of this quilt were inspired by a trip I took  round the island in 2003.

Nova Scotia

We traveled to Nova Scotia a few summers ago when the irises were in bloom, the land was green and we were always aware of the coast line. The quilt is made of several pieces of fabric that have been manipulated before dyeing (Shibori), and decorated with drift wood I picked up on our beach walks.

Cedar Breaks, Utah

One of the reasons I live in Utah is the amazing geography of this state, especially in Southern Utah.  I made this queen-sized quilt after a trip to Cedar Breaks, a place of red, ochre and golden colored rocks.
